Sheep For Sale Fall 2007
As usual we did have a good trouble free lambing this spring.
Due to the ram lambs getting in with the girls last fall and several of the rams being crosses we did not
know for sure who bred who so we considered all of the lambs to be crosses.
Even if they were purebred we wouldn't know which ram bred which ewe so we culled hard,culled all ram lambs and
only have a couple very nice cross ewe lambs available this year.
They would make exellent ewes for a fiber flock and are out of exellent mothers that have lovely fleeces so should produce
fleece and lambs as well as their moms.
Due to high hay prices this year we cutting our flock down to 2 purebred ewes and 2 cross ewes and 1 or 2 rams. We culled
the couple that didn't produce as well as we wanted and are also offering 2 of our better adult ewes for sale.
They are exellent trouble free lambers with very nice handspinner fleeces.
All of our breeding quality sheep are guaranteed to produce lambs within 2 years after purchase
or will replace them with another of equal value or give you credit towards another animal. A non refundable deposit
of 1/3 is required to hold an animal. All sheep must be paid for in full before leaving the farm.
Note: Fiber animals are sold without breeding guarantees that our breeding quality
sheep are.
We enrolled in the voluntary scrapie program in 2001. We also tested for OPP in 2001 and
were pleased to find all of the icelandics as well as the ice/crosses to be negative.
EWE LAMBS
Black horned twin- 75% icelandic. Nice growthy lamb with pitch black soft fleece. $150
White horned single-75% icelandic/25% finn/corri. Huge when she was born. I thought for sure she was a ram
when I found her and mom. Looked like a week old lamb instead of newborn. Has absolutely gorgeous fleece,lustrous
and thick and lots of thel. Large lamb. $200
Her mom is a big ewe that has only singled for us so far but her lambs are so outstanding in fleece and growth that I
have no problem keeping her. I already have a stunning black daughter from her or I would be keeping this white lamb.
ADULT EWES
Moorit Horned twin-4yrs old-this ewe is actually a purebred but I never got the papers on her father. If I could have
registered her she wouldn't be for sale.
Big ewe with gorgeous wavy lustrous fine fleece that is has slightly silvered thel on the sides of her shoulders, very
pretty.
Always produces fast growing lambs with beautiful soft fine fleeces. $250
Moorit horned twin-4yrsold-75% icelandic,25%jacob/corri- beautiful carmel colored fleece. Medium tog with buttery soft
fine thel. Her fleece is a bit shorter than most but she makes up for it in color and
quality.$200
